Tasks

  • Lead planning, execution, and integration of the Robotic Catheter Assembly, Camera Tool & Accessories program
  • Own end-to-end strategy, definition, and delivery of the LUNA Robotic Catheter Assembly, Camera Tool & Accessories
  • Drive subsystem architecture decisions, requirements flow-down, and interface definitions
  • Establish program plans, schedules, deliverables, risk assessments, and resource alignment
  • Ensure subsystem execution aligns with platform milestones, system architecture, design freezes, and verification/validation timelines
  • Provide direction to engineering teams, technical leads, and cross-functional partners
  • Ensure clarity of priorities, alignment to plan, and timely issue resolution
  • Lead technical and execution forums to maintain progress, escalate risks, and align on technical decisions
  • Ensure work products meet program expectations, quality standards, and system requirements
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Robotics & Controls, Navigation & Visualization, Human Factors, Manufacturing, Quality, Sterilization, Regulatory, Clinical, and Program Management
  • Serve as the subsystem voice in platform-level reviews, architecture discussions, and executive updates
  • Secure cross-functional alignment on subsystem priorities, design decisions, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Work with Program Management to ensure accurate reporting, milestone readiness, and alignment on system-level integration
  • Guide innovation in catheter mechanics, flexible shaft technologies, articulation, sensing, materials, durability, and accessory design
  • Provide leadership and direction for complex subsystem challenges
  • Influence the functional capability roadmap by identifying future skills, technologies, and investments
  • Ensure subsystem design approaches meet clinical use cases, surgeon requirements, and system-level performance expectations
  • Oversee functional execution of design controls, requirements documentation, risk management, and verification planning
  • Ensure subsystem development meets regulatory, safety, sterilization, and quality standards
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to ensure DFM, reliability, cost, and scalability considerations
  • Drive lifecycle improvements and sustaining engineering for commercial catheter assemblies and accessories
  • Manage one or more major, developing programs with broad and ongoing impact
  • Establish program objectives, timelines, milestones, and budgets
  • Establish new policies and procedures affecting program management
  • Have budget accountability for one or more major programs
  • Make independent program decisions, recommending strategic or costly decisions to higher management
  • Gather, analyze, and investigate detailed information to understand complex problems
  • Impact multiple major job areas, businesses, or functions within a program
  • Enhance program management processes to substantially improve programs
  • Communicate and conduct briefings with senior or executive leadership on critical program outcomes
  • Represent one or more programs as the primary internal and external contact
  • Influence across functions and businesses to negotiate and gain cooperation on new proposals and programs
  • Lead a matrixed small unit including multiple teams led by Program Managers and/or vendors
  • Approve tasks and schedules necessary for successful program execution
  • Require broad management knowledge and experience to lead project teams in multiple job areas
  • Possess mastery-level knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with broad understanding of other areas
