Requirements
- 15+ years hardware engineering for complex electronics
- 5+ years senior leadership running multidisciplinary teams
- Shipping datacenter/server compute hardware into volume production
- High-speed interfaces expertise (PCIe Gen4/5/6, CXL, SerDes)
- Server memory expertise
- High-current power delivery and VRM design expertise
- High-density PCB layout with SI/PI methodology
- BMC-based platform management experience
- Redfish/IPMI experience
- UEFI/BIOS or equivalent firmware stacks experience
- Secure boot/root-of-trust experience
- Enterprise RAS features experience
- Datacenter thermal and mechanical design knowledge
- Rack power delivery knowledge (12V, 48V, OCP)
- Familiarity with datacenter and AI infrastructure compliance
- Familiarity with PCIe and OCP standards
- Experience with tier-1 CMs/ODMs on server-class products
- Ability to review schematics, layouts, simulations, lab data
- Decision-making ability when team is stuck
- Strong strategic thinking
- Excellent communication skills
- Skilled decision-making in fast-moving environments
- Comfortable engaging at C-level with customers and partners
- Experience building or scaling engineering team (preferred)
- Experience with AI accelerator platforms, GPUs, custom silicon (plus)
- Exposure to sovereign AI, EuroHPC, HPC, European defence programmes (plus)
- Fluent English
- Additional European language (plus)
Tasks
- Establish and run AI Infrastructure Systems division
- Shape technical roadmap for board- and system-level products
- Own end-to-end delivery of platform systems
- Review schematics and layouts
- Challenge power and thermal budgets
- Shape BMC and platform-firmware stack
- Build and mentor multidisciplinary engineering team
- Define technical roadmap for PCIe Gen6/CXL accelerator cards
- Design OAM modules and UBB baseboards
- Develop 1U/2U rack systems
- Implement rack-scale solutions including networking and storage
- Serve as technical authority on system implementation
- Lead from concept to mass-production readiness
- Make build-vs-partner decisions
- Drive datacenter-grade platform engineering
- Lead thermal and mechanical strategy
- Partner with Embedded AI engineering leadership
- Collaborate with Platform Architecture and product management
- Engage with strategic customers and ecosystem partners
- Define and enforce engineering processes
- Identify and mitigate technical risks
- Resolve engineering escalations
- Drive debugging and root-cause analysis
- Manage division’s engineering budget and CAPEX
- Oversee external engineering spend and vendor relationships
