Requirements
- 15+ years hardware engineering for complex electronics
- 5+ years senior leadership running multidisciplinary teams
- Shipping datacenter/server compute hardware into volume production
- High-speed interfaces expertise (PCIe Gen4/5/6, CXL, SerDes)
- Enterprise memory expertise
- High-current power delivery and VRM design expertise
- High-density PCB layout with SI/PI methodology
- BMC-based platform management experience
- Redfish/IPMI experience
- UEFI/BIOS or equivalent firmware stacks experience
- Secure boot/root-of-trust experience
- Enterprise RAS features experience
- Datacenter thermal and mechanical design knowledge
- Rack power delivery knowledge (12V, 48V, OCP)
- Datacenter and enterprise compliance familiarity
- OCP standards and processes familiarity
- Experience with tier-1 CMs/ODMs on server-class products
- Hands-on schematic, layout, simulation review
- Hands-on lab validation data review
- Decision-making ability when team is stuck
- Strong strategic thinking
- Excellent communication skills
- Skilled decision-making in fast-moving environments
- Comfortable engaging at C-level with customers/partners
- Experience building or scaling engineering team (preferred)
- AI accelerator platforms experience (plus)
- GPUs experience in datacenter context (plus)
- Custom silicon experience in datacenter context (plus)
- Sovereign AI exposure (plus)
- EuroHPC exposure (plus)
- HPC exposure (plus)
- European defence/dual-use datacenter programmes exposure (plus)
- Fluent English
- Additional European language (plus)
Tasks
- Build and lead the Enterprise AI Server engineering team
- Hire and mentor multidisciplinary team members
- Define technical roadmap for board- and system-level server products
- Serve as technical authority on architecture, schematics, and high-speed signaling
- Own end-to-end execution from concept to mass production
- Drive datacenter-grade platform engineering
- Lead thermal and mechanical strategy for high-power platforms
- Ensure compliance with enterprise and datacenter standards
- Partner with Embedded AI engineering leadership
- Co-define platform requirements with silicon and software teams
- Engage with strategic customers and ecosystem partners
- Define and enforce engineering processes and standards
- Identify and mitigate technical risks
- Resolve engineering escalations and drive root-cause analysis
- Manage the division’s engineering budget and vendor relationships
