Requirements

  • •Experience with PostgreSQL
  • •3+ years of senior level experience with Linux and Unix based server environments
  • •Architect level experience with noSQL or Time-based database concepts
  • •Experience with automation in Puppet or willingness to learn Puppet
  • •Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • •Willingness to learn new solutions
  • •Experience with virtualization (KVM)
  • •Experience with Docker virtual containers
  • •Experience automating with Python or using Python as a Dev language
  • •Experience running production grade MySQL
  • •Experience running production grade solutions on ZFS
  • •Experience with a managed Kubernetes platform
  • •Attention to detail
  • •Responsibility
  • •Very good organization and planning skills
  • •Ability to work in a multicultural team

  • •Ensure database availability, stability, and performance
  • •Maintain and improve backup and restore mechanisms
  • •Stay updated on new PostgreSQL releases
  • •Collaborate with the development team for system optimization
  • •Create runbooks for Linux and Unix server deployment and maintenance
  • •Serve as an escalation point for unresolved issues
  • •Optimize performance, stability, and security
  • •Manage database monitoring and incident response
