- •Background in data, analytics, or software engineering
- •Fluency in Python, SQL, and Git
- •Understanding of production-grade data engineering concepts
- •Knowledge of dbt, sqlmesh, Airflow, or Dagster
- •Knowledge of semantic layers and CubeJS (plus)
- •Ability to implement software changes incrementally
- •Willingness to investigate and fix failing services
- •Experience with observability and monitoring (nice to have)
- •Past experience with infrastructure projects
- •Knowledge of AWS, GCP, Azure, or Athena
- •Familiarity with data modeling practices (nice to have)
- •Willingness to participate in stakeholder meetings
- •Comfortable working in small, communicative teams

Tasks
- •Improve custom data operation tooling
- •Enhance the developer experience
- •Bootstrap new data services with the platform team
- •Implement infrastructure while ensuring data security
- •Facilitate CI/CD and test data quality
- •Improve data observability and ensure modularity
- •Design and implement scalable dbt and Python pipelines
- •Enable product teams to build data products
- •Provide onboarding sessions, consulting, and documentation
- •Pair with colleagues on complex coding challenges
- •Collaborate on continuous process improvements
