Commodity Broker(m/w/x)

Description

In this role, you will actively negotiate trades in environmental commodity markets while building relationships with clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve prospecting for new business and collaborating with various departments to ensure effective trade execution and risk management.

Requirements

• •Degree in environmental studies, commodities, energy economics, business, or relevant work experience
• •Minimum of 2 years of commercial experience in a business-to-business role
• •Fluency in English; other language skills beneficial
• •Knowledge of environmental commodity markets
• •Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• •Strong technology skills
• •Entrepreneurial mindset and teamwork skills
• •Self-starter with initiative

Tasks

• •Negotiate and close physical and derivative trades
• •Prospect for new clients
• •Maintain relationships with existing clients
• •Identify further trade opportunities for clients
• •Develop new opportunities in low carbon commodity markets
• •Engage with operations, legal, and compliance departments
• •Ensure thorough risk management and trade execution
• •Maintain post-trade discipline and quality control
