Requirements
- Technical graduate education (bachelor’s or master’s) in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
- Strong understanding of continuous process systems (ideally gas, water, pharmaceutical, or regulated industrial environments)
- Proven hands-on experience in commissioning, start-up, operation, maintenance, or technical service
- Ability to troubleshoot complex systems, strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize high-volume workload, flexibility, responsiveness to changing site conditions
- Excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills, collaborative work in multidisciplinary/international teams
- Proactive, self-driven approach, confidence, sound judgment for independent technical decisions
- Clear, professional communication skills, company representation on-site, trusted customer interface
- Fluent English (working language), strong advantage: German and/or French proficiency
- Swiss or EU citizenship, or valid Swiss work permit
Tasks
- Track project schedule and commissioning milestones.
- Introduce water into UPW treatment systems.
- Verify mechanical installation integrity via pressure testing.
- Load and commission ion exchange resins, membranes, and UV systems.
- Perform system flushing and conditioning to achieve UPW quality.
- Manage and monitor commissioning wastewater, coordinating with stakeholders.
- Participate in customer coordination and technical meetings.
- Execute IQ, OQ, and FAT according to project requirements.
- Train customers on plant operations and best practices.
- Complete final plant certification.
- Support formal plant handover to customers.
- Prepare and maintain detailed commissioning documentation.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues during commissioning.
- Adhere to site Health & Safety regulations and practices.
