Requirements
- Strong academic foundation in aerospace engineering, physics, robotics, control systems, or related field
- Deep understanding of dynamics, estimation, controls, and system level thinking
- Proven experience with high dynamic or high reliability systems, ideally through full test or flight cycles
- Ability to move between architecture design, simulation, coding, and hands-on testing
- Experience with system trade studies, simulation environments, and integrating complex subsystems
- Solid coding and modeling skills with practical mindset
- Experience using AI tools to accelerate engineering workflows
- Ability to lead technical teams while staying hands-on
- Systems thinking, not silos
- Driven by building real products
- Comfortable with ambiguity, fast action to create clarity
- Testing over debating
- Focus on full product over subsystem optimization
- Ownership of hard problems with intensity and discipline
- Value small, high-performing teams
- Belief in speed, first principles, and technical depth over bureaucracy
Tasks
- Define system objective function

- Integrate controls, sensing, navigation, software, propulsion, avionics, and test strategy
- Lead architecture decisions and make trade-offs
- Create fast design-test-learn loops
- Conduct simulations, hardware testing, and iterations
- Build and lead a small elite engineering team

- Identify and mitigate high-risk areas
- Design experiments to reduce risks
- Drive system from concept to demonstrator
