Requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in supply chain or equivalent relevant experience
- APICS certification preferred
- Certification in Purchasing (e.g. Brevet fédéral spécialiste Achat & Approvisionnement) is a plus
- Knowledge of Purchasing processes
- Excellent MS Excel knowledge, Power query is a plus
- Used to working with large data sets
- Strong analytical skills and interest in analytical tasks
- Excellent communication skills
- Well organized, rigorous and reliable
- Methodical and attentive to details
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams internationally
Tasks
- Ensure timely supply of raw materials, packaging materials, and components
- Optimize stock levels for production and customer service
- Schedule and manage deliveries to meet production requirements
- Create and maintain purchase plans for parts and materials
- Analyze supply planning data to validate purchasing requirements
- Process purchase orders and create purchase forecasts
- Confirm supplier orders and maintain latest delivery dates in the system
- Expedite or postpone orders as needed, follow up on past-due materials
- Define and adjust safety stock levels for each item in the ERP
- Keep inventory levels within defined objectives
- Adhere to supply lead times
- Implement blanket orders while minimizing obsolescence risk
- Verify product continuation and change plans before blanket orders
- Set up and maintain material planning parameters in ERP
- Ensure all delivered POs are invoiced, work with Finance on invoicing gaps
- Maintain good relationships with suppliers, conduct periodic business and KPI reviews
- Collaborate with Procurement on supplier management
- Work with Supplier Quality, Marketing, Logistics, R&D, Finance, S&OP, and Operations
- Participate in new product introduction and continuous improvement projects
- Evaluate supplier service performance, provide data for performance improvement
- Review and manage E&O data monthly, propose disposition plans
- Perform other tasks related to competence as needed
