Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Control Engineering, Automation, Informatics, or related field
  • Experience in automation or control system development
  • Proficiency with Matlab, Simulink, and Python
  • Strong understanding of process control principles, instrumentation, and P&ID interpretation
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, OPC, Ethernet/IP)
  • Experience with simulation or HIL testing environments for validation of control logic
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in English, German, or French can be advantageous

Tasks

  • Design and configure control concepts for chromatography units
  • Test control concepts to optimize chromatography system performance
  • Implement control logic using Matlab|Simulink
  • Build and execute Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing setups
  • Validate control logic and simulate process conditions
  • Ensure reliable system behavior before site commissioning
  • Collaborate with process engineers and hardware engineers
  • Align automation, hardware, and process requirements
  • Participate in technical reviews to define automation requirements
  • Work closely with stakeholders in R&D and data analytics
  • Contribute to improving simulation tools and testing methodologies
