Requirements
- Extensive professional experience in Property and Engineering insurance, preferably within Life Sciences or Chemical fields
- Proven experience managing insurance programs for large, multi-national organizations with track record of optimizing conditions
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, or Risk Management (Master's preferred)
- Scientific degree in engineering (a plus)
- Strong commercial insurance knowledge
- Ability to support complex business analysis
- Strong teamwork skills in small, international, multi-cultural, cross-functional teams
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for diverse network relationship building
- Independent personality
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities
- Ability to anticipate issues, identify challenges, create, and implement solutions
- Mandatory business fluency in English
- Significant advantage: business fluency in German
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to deliver high-quality presentations to cross-functional teams
Tasks
- Manage Property Damage & Business Interruption programs.
- Manage Construction/Erection All Risk (CEAR) programs.
- Manage Marine/Cargo programs.
- Optimize insurance programs for Lonza’s global footprint.
- Lead and coordinate insurance program renewals.
- Negotiate optimal insurance terms and conditions.
- Provide insurance service for high-value engineering projects.
- Provide insurance service for high-value construction projects.
- Partner with Global Engineering and CAPEX Procurement.
- Oversee claims management for insurance programs.
- Support and guide internal stakeholders.
- Oversee global risk engineering activities and surveys.
- Collaborate with site operations, EHS, and Global Engineering.
- Ensure compliance with international insurance regulations.
- Manage tax obligations and program audits.
- Meet local transactional requirements across jurisdictions.
- Support M&A due diligence and integration.
- Serve as SME for Legal, Finance, and EHS.
