AIT Test Technician(m/w/x)
Supporting environmental and functional tests for reusable orbital vehicles, including vibration, shock, and TVAC setups. Hands-on experience with environmental testing equipment highly desirable. Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship provided.
Requirements
- Technical degree or vocational training in aerospace, electronics, mechatronics, industrial systems, or related technical field
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, defense, industrial testing, or high-reliability technical environments
- Hands-on experience with environmental testing equipment (vibration tables, thermal chambers, instrumentation systems) highly desirable
- Familiarity with laboratory operations, instrumentation installation, and mechanical integration
- Experience with calibrated equipment, controlled procedures, and technical documentation is a strong plus
- Ability to read and follow technical procedures and engineering drawings
- Experience with mechanical assembly and test setups
- Basic understanding of sensors and instrumentation systems
- Familiarity with torque tools, measurement equipment, and laboratory/test equipment
- Knowledge of safety procedures for environmental testing
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities in technical environments
- Rigor and attention to detail
- Structured and disciplined way of working
- Hands-on mindset with proactive attitude
- Ability to identify and communicate anomalies clearly and accurately
- Team player with good communication skills
- Reliability, organization, and accountability
- Comfortable working in fast-paced and evolving environments
- Excellent communication skills in English
Tasks
- Support environmental and functional test activities
- Set up vibration tests
- Conduct shock tests
- Perform Thermal Vacuum (TVAC) tests
- Handle ancillary testing activities
- Prepare hardware for test campaigns
- Install thermocouples and accelerometers
- Operate environmental test equipment
- Conduct pre-test and post-test inspections
- Support testing at internal and external facilities
- Prepare and execute test procedures
- Adhere to safety, cleanliness, and quality standards
- Document all operations
- Report anomalies and observations
- Verify tool and equipment calibration
- Maintain and organize test equipment
- Monitor test asset condition
- Perform first-level maintenance
- Troubleshoot test equipment
- Support new tooling integration
- Assist in improving test processes
- Keep laboratory areas organized and safe
