Developing ride and handling performance for next-gen connected/autonomous vehicles. 3+ years in automotive ride/handling development and objective vehicle measurements required. Work with MATLAB, LMS Test.Lab, and vehicle dynamics measurement equipment.

Requirements

  • Degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics, or similar
  • More than 3 years of experience in ride and handling development for automotive OEM or tier 1 supplier
  • Experience in objective static & dynamic vehicle measurements (Steering & Handling and Ride Comfort)
  • Software skills in MATLAB, LMS Test.Lab, DIAdem, or similar
  • Experience with vehicle dynamics measurement equipment (steering robot, inertial platform) is a plus
  • Knowledge, interest, and passion concerning vehicle dynamics
  • Willingness to travel and work in an international / intercultural environment
  • Excellent analytical skills, pro-active attitude, very good command of English language
  • Proficient in reporting and handling Microsoft applications like PowerPoint and Excel

Tasks

  • Develop ride and handling performance characteristics for vehicles
  • Conduct objective measurements of ride comfort and handling
  • Support target setting and correlate with subjective evaluations
  • Continuously improve measurement processes, including hardware and software
  • Define performance targets for components and systems in new projects
  • Plan projects to optimize budget, resources, and timelines
  • Report and document test results in English
  • Collaborate closely with HMETC departments and R&D Center in South Korea
