Requirements
- Education in tax law or relevant working knowledge
- Excellent understanding of key indirect tax concepts
- Good working knowledge of indirect tax consequences of international trade
- Good working knowledge of SAP/ERP systems
- Understanding of customs regulations
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Independent, enthusiastic, informal, perseverant, self-starter
- Fluent in German
- Basic working knowledge of English
Tasks
- Manage indirect tax affairs and reporting for Mars entities in DACH region
- Prepare VAT returns and related filings for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
- Monitor changes in tax legislation, rulings, and regulations
- Assess impact of supply chain changes and business-driven projects
- Analyze and renew current VAT processes for effectiveness
- Provide VAT support to various departments and stakeholders
- Onboard newly acquired entities into ICTC scope
- Create VAT awareness and guide other departments
- Support indirect tax audits and meetings with tax authorities
- Analyze indirect tax aspects of new business operations and initiatives
