Utilities & Infrastructure Specialist(m/w/x)
Operating and monitoring clean/black utilities, including steam, purified water, and HVAC, for a global life sciences company. In-depth technical knowledge of CQ, OPs, and EHS in a life sciences setting required. Cross-functional collaboration with QA, QC, and operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor or completed technical education in Process Engineering, Mechanical, EMR, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- In-depth technical knowledge in CQ and OPs, possibly in biological, chemical, and/or pharmaceutical industry
- Extended EHS knowledge
- Experience with utilities/HVAC
- Solid internal and external collaboration and ability to lead diverse teams
- Experience working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in German and English or willingness to learn one of the two languages
Tasks
- Manage technical and organizational aspects of clean and black utilities
- Ensure proper operation and monitoring of clean steam, purified water, and HVAC systems
- Monitor and organize continuous oversight of purified media systems
- Coordinate cleaning activities before start-up and after campaign completion
- Address deviations in collaboration with QA, QC, and operations
- Define corrective measures and prepare monthly reports
- Coordinate with operations, engineering, QA, and QC
- Oversee waste management and proper disposal of liquid and solid waste
- Plan waste streams for new products in partnership with production and the environmental lab
- Conduct pump inspections and sample PW water
- Manage storage materials and overgarments
- Support maintenance and monitoring of infrastructure systems
