Requirements

  • Doctoral/PhD studies in Slavic studies (West Slavic linguistics, Polish focus)
  • Outstanding dissertation
  • Scientific activities in West Slavic studies (research stays, conference participation)

  • Research management experience
  • Didactic skills and university teaching experience
  • Excellent written/spoken Polish and German; good knowledge of other Slavic languages (Czech, Slovak, Sorbian advantageous)
  • Interest in historical sociolinguistics (desirable)

  • Develop an independent research profile in West Slavic (primarily Polish) linguistics.
  • Engage in research projects and academic studies in West Slavic linguistics.
  • Publish research internationally.
  • Deliver academic lectures.
  • Apply for research projects.
  • Secure third-party funding.
  • Prepare a publication-ready habilitation.
  • Teach courses independently.
  • Supervise students.
  • Contribute to evaluation measures.
  • Engage in quality assurance processes.
  • Perform administrative tasks for research, teaching, and administration.
