Research on novel tumor-inhibiting compounds using human cell models at research institution with 10,000+ employees. Mammalian cell culture and compound bioactivity characterization experience, ideally with flow cytometry, required. Flexible hours, excellent research infrastructure.
Requirements
- Diploma or Master's degree in molecular biology, biological chemistry, biochemistry, chemistry, or equivalent qualification
- Experience in mammalian cell culture techniques and compound bioactivity characterization, ideally including flow cytometry and imaging-based methods
- Basic experience in research methods and academic writing
- Attention to detail, independent work, and teamwork ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Desirable experience in academic teaching (including e-learning)
- Enthusiasm, hard-working, motivation, independent work, and teamwork
- Very good English knowledge, basic German knowledge
Tasks
- Conduct original research in bioinorganic chemistry
- Conduct original research in chemical biology
- Focus research on novel tumor-inhibiting compounds
- Investigate therapy resistance mechanisms
- Utilize human cell models for research
- Characterize bioactivities with cell and molecular biology methods
- Apply flow cytometry, microscopy, and immunofluorescence
- Coordinate with synthetic chemistry experts
- Contribute to designing cancer therapeutics
- Prepare internal reports
- Contribute to scientific publications
- Write academic articles
- Present scientific results at conferences
- Sign doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 months
- Teach courses independently per collective agreement
- Instruct bachelor and master students
- Perform administrative tasks for teaching
- Perform administrative tasks for research
