- Lead risk analysis using DFMEA
- Conduct design reviews
- Define and develop tooling, including injection molds
- Validate test equipment
- Manage product validation for function, geometry, and cosmetics
- Lead product and tooling tuning phases
- Achieve performance and quality targets
- Act as main technical interface with customers
- Liaise with serial production throughout project development
- Coordinate cross-functional teams
- Define engineering scope of work (SOW)
- Define project planning and deliverables
- Manage project reviews
- Track project actions
- Ensure milestone achievement
- Participate in feasibility studies
- Participate in development milestones (QUAD, launch readiness)
- Monitor development budget for hours and costs
- Support cost optimization through design
- Manage scope changes
- Report deviations to the Project Manager
- Support industrialization
- Ensure smooth transfer to production plants
- Troubleshoot technical issues during trials
- Troubleshoot technical issues during production ramp-up
- Maintain technical documentation
- Update technical databases
- Capitalize on lessons learned
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
