Requirements
- 5+ years experience including Ph.D. research, SW & ML/GenAI/AI industry
- Master's or higher degree in Engineering (AI, Computer Science) or Automotive OEM/Tier-1 experience (preferred)
- Strong spoken and written English skills
- Proficiency in Python programming
- Proficiency in ML/AI frameworks (Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch)
- Proficiency in geometric representations (parametric, mesh, BREP)
- Experience in prompting techniques
- Experience in CAD Design (CATIA), API, Macros
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Tasks
- Develop next-generation Agentic AI applications to enhance geometric engineering workflows
- Research and apply state-of-the-art AI for geometric understanding
- Investigate modern AI methods for geometry design and interaction
- Explore LLM-assisted geometry reasoning and multimodal AI approaches
- Programmatically transform CAD geometry into structured representations
- Utilize structured geometry for AI-driven engineering tasks
- Support automated design checks, manufacturability reasoning, and variant comparison
- Assist with tolerance analysis and intelligent parameter recommendations
- Generate automated documentation
- Translate customer needs into actionable AI system designs
- Develop robust, scalable AI assistants for engineering workflows
- Design agent behaviors, reasoning pipelines, and CAD-aware tool interactions
- Collaborate with internal customers, R&D teams, and CAD experts
- Partner with external research partners
- Prototype, validate, and refine AI-driven geometric engineering solutions
- Productize developed prototypes by demonstrating capabilities and gathering feedback
- Ensure smooth integration of prototypes into engineering ecosystems
- Support R&D teams with technical evaluation of technologies
- Conduct scientific deep dives and application analysis of technologies
- Evaluate manufacturability, market, and cost factors of technologies
- Plan, execute, and coordinate R&D programs with partners
- Evaluate technologies and product designs for compliance with standards
- Support innovative component development from concept to production
- Design and conduct research programs applying scientific principles
- Support ideation, identify technology gaps, and guide future R&D efforts
- Analyze engineering results and propose product changes
- Determine feasibility, improve components, and define specifications
- Correlate experimental data with simulation data
- Maintain innovation project schedules
- Monitor project progress, coordinate activities, and manage timelines
- Resolve project-related problems
- Specify and coordinate sub-contracted work, ensuring timely completion
- Confer with project engineers to resolve problems and develop designs
- Maintain filing systems for electronic and hard copy information
- Ensure information storage meets department requirements
- Provide engineering support to other departments
- Keep the organization informed of R&D program developments
- Prepare project progress reports
- Use computer software and equipment for technical analysis
