SQE Software Manager(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent technical education
- 6-8 years of experience in embedded software design or development
- Automotive SPICE competent assessor (VDA certified) with at least 300h of assessment experience and 3-5 years of experience in process improvement (HIS-Scope Level 3 and/or CMMI-DEV)
- Very good knowledge about further industry standards like CMMI, ISO 9001, TL 9000, ISO/IEC 15504, Test SPICE
- Ability to map identified weaknesses to inherent process issues and definition of remedies
- Skills for effectively managing SW SQE function with globally distributed counterparts
- Knowledge about Supplier Quality methodologies and tools
- Strong experience in quality problem solving
- Proven ability to lead and achieve on-quality, on-cost, and on-time commitments
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Success in collaborating with key work partners and able to maintain relationships at the working level
- An effective team player committed to organizational goals
- Ability in communication across cultures
- English (business fluent)
- SAP, MSOffice Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
Tasks
- Train and coach colleagues on software quality assurance topics
- Oversee quality goals for software suppliers
- Support procurement, engineering, and programs with supplier activities
- Ensure only qualified suppliers meet Harman and customer requirements
- Monitor software supplier quality performance
- Drive improvements for underperforming suppliers
- Serve as the first escalation point for critical quality issues
- Provide expertise in software quality assurance as needed
- Implement quality strategies for software suppliers
- Align quality strategies with business objectives and growth
- Build and maintain relationships with software suppliers
- Plan activities to assess suppliers' process capabilities
- Organize and execute supplier assessments using Automotive SPICE
- Qualify and re-qualify software suppliers
- Determine quality assurance requirements for software suppliers
- Interface with departments to discuss supplier requirements
- Lead and track software supplier development activities
- Manage supplier negotiations and quality improvement initiatives
- Escalate issues effectively when necessary
- Collaborate on new supplier qualification initiatives
- Support supply base optimization efforts
- Enhance processes and tools for efficiency and compliance
- Set priorities based on criticality and available resources
