Software Product Assurance Engineer(m/w/x)
Ensuring software product assurance for modular, reusable orbital vehicles. Bachelor's degree and aerospace software assurance experience required. Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship offered.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in engineering or technical sciences
- Experience in software assurance, quality assurance, or related field, especially aerospace, aviation, or defense industries
- Strong analytical skills and experience with software lifecycle evaluation, configuration management, and V&V activities
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for software development and scripting
- Proficiency in managing non-conformances and corrective actions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to conduct rigorous audits, evaluations, and reviews
- Detail and solution-oriented mindset with strong ability to work independently
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a team environment with strong leadership skills
- Working fluency in English
- Familiarity with NASA software assurance standards and requirements, especially NASA-STD-8739.8 and NASA-GB-8719.13
- Expertise in using Git for source code management. Familiarity with GitHub or GitLab
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment. Familiarity with Jenkins or GitLab CI
- Knowledge of software testing frameworks and automated testing tools (e.g. googletest, gmock)
- Experience with static code analysis tools like SonarQube or Coverity
Tasks
- Establish and maintain SW PA&S requirements baseline
- Develop and implement SW Quality Assurance Program
- Develop, implement, monitor, and review SW QA plans
- Conduct independent evaluations of software development processes
- Participate in software design analysis and change impact analysis
- Conduct regression testing for COTS software
- Oversee and participate in V&V activities
- Support IV&V activities and mitigate software risks
- Manage SW nonconformities, deviations, and alerts
- Contribute to risk management process
- Manage SW Critical Items
- Apply SW lessons learned
- Plan, conduct, and follow up on project SW audits
- Oversee configuration management processes
- Ensure software reliability and maintainability requirements
- Conduct software trade studies
- Support HSIA analysis
- Oversee SW integration with hardware
