Requirements
- •9 years experience with Undergraduate, 8 with Graduate, or 7 with Doctorate
- •Degree in Public Policy, Law, International Relations, or relevant field
- •Experience in international policy analysis and development
- •Experience managing cross-cultural internal and external relationships
- •Experience in drafting protection, advocacy, or partnership strategies
- •Experience coordinating UN interventions in humanitarian contexts
- •Solid experience in lobbying and advocacy with Governments
- •Strong experience conducting research and drafting concept papers
- •Professionalism, integrity, and respect for diversity
- •Extensive experience with multilateral processes and GRF preparations
- •Strong diplomatic skills and stakeholder management
- •Deep understanding of GCR implementation and UNHCR mandate
- •Ability to manage cross-functional teams across Divisions
- •Experience engaging with refugees and refugee-led organizations
- •Expertise in events management and multi-stakeholder engagement
- •High level of organization and judgment
- •Excellent drafting and interpersonal skills
- •Desirable knowledge of French
- •Negotiation, conflict resolution, and strategic planning skills

- •Coordinate guidance and strategic advice on protection policies
- •Draft UNHCR positions on assigned protection and solutions issues
- •Develop and evaluate regional political and social development information
- •Provide accurate guidance on international instruments for displaced persons
- •Represent the organization in inter-agency policy development processes
- •Prepare strategies and public papers on thematic geographical areas
- •Foster partnerships with governments, NGOs, and the private sector
- •Draft policy papers for high-level regional and global events
- •Coordinate oral and written briefings and background notes
- •Review country-specific strategies to ensure regional alignment
- •Conduct multi-functional protection review missions to the field
- •Lead risk assessments and integrate risk management into decision-making
- •Oversee strategic partnerships with faith leaders and academia
- •Advance efforts toward meaningful refugee participation
- •Formulate GCR advocacy efforts and strategic communication plans
- •Manage multi-stakeholder processes during major global forums
