Tasks
- Design and implement complex backend systems
- Maintain backend systems long-term
- Lead technical discussions and engineering decisions
- Document technical trade-offs clearly
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers
- Conduct code reviews and pairing sessions
- Provide structured feedback to team members
- Identify and address systemic infrastructure weaknesses
- Propose and execute infrastructure improvements
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and data teams
- Align technical direction with business goals
- Improve backend observability, reliability, and performance
- Participate in technical interviews
- Help define the engineering bar
