Backlog management and evolution of customer service tools at European HR/Payroll services provider. 5+ years Product Owner experience, ideally with Service Management exposure, required. Remote work, option to work from other offices.
Requirements
- Degree in IT, IT-related fields, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years Product Owner experience, ideally with Salesforce/Service Management
- Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving skills
- Quick understanding of SD Worx business
- Skill in translating business needs to requirements
- Experience in Agile squads; international environment experience (asset)
- Strong process-oriented mindset, continuous optimization drive
- Effective prioritization, meeting deadlines, performing under pressure
- Strong focus on scalability and standardization
- Excellent stakeholder management capabilities
- Ensuring clear team understanding of requirements
- Defining squad competencies with scrum master, agile coach, tribe lead
- Strong teamwork, flexible mindset
- Excellent English communication skills (written/verbal)
- Proactive attitude, strong sense of ownership
- Proven people leadership experience (team lead, coaching, etc.)
- Strong soft skills: coaching, mentoring, conflict resolution, motivating teams
- Familiarity with HR tasks (performance, development, capacity management)
Tasks
- Maximize value of Enterprise Tools.
- Manage the product backlog effectively.
- Evolve tools within the SD Worx product landscape.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and teams.
- Create and prioritize user stories for the team.
- Consider existing tool support and future plans.
- Evolve tools end-to-end with the team.
- Follow up on projects from start to finish.
- Manage service in the enterprise value chain.
- Ensure customer requests are handled globally.
- Make final decisions on product development.
- Illustrate business context, problem space, and solutions.
- Co-develop the product vision.
- Align product vision with leads and product managers.
- Validate the product vision with internal customers.
- Define and prioritize the product backlog.
- Ensure clarity of sprint backlog requirements and priorities.
- Drive product roadmap execution and release planning.
- Safeguard product's technical stability and sustainability.
- Define product requirements, ensuring completeness and consistency.
- Participate in sprint planning.
- Confirm priorities and clarify requirements during sprints.
- Communicate proactively with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Contribute to tribe roadmap, planning, and coordination.
- Provide regular, structured reporting on enterprise tools.
- Manage people for the squad.
- Coach squad members.
- Conduct 1-on-1 conversations.
- Follow up on performance.
- Support personal development.
- Oversee team capacity, competencies, and workload distribution.
- Oversee resource planning.
- Partner with HR for recruitment, evaluations, and growth.
