Tasks
- Design complex UAV platforms and subsystems
- Prototype complex UAV platforms and subsystems
- Balance durability, efficiency, and performance in designs
- Manage projects from concept to production
- Optimize project performance, reliability, and manufacturability
- Manage system-level constraints
- Address thermal management
- Control mass budget (weight)
- Optimize COGS (cost)
- Ensure environmental sealing (IP ratings)
- Collaborate with R&D teams
- Integrate sensors, payloads, and electronics seamlessly
- Conduct rigorous testing
- Perform stress and failure analysis
- Identify risks proactively
- Develop test benches, calculation sheets, or scripts
- Validate designs for extreme environments
- Manage delivery packages and technical specifications with precision
- Oversee manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with suppliers and external manufacturers
- Manage plastic injection moulding and precision machining
- Ensure manufacturing quality and schedule targets
- Maintain documentation in Confluence
- Document designs, test results, and production workflows
