- Passion for corporate decarbonization and climate change mitigation
- Knowledge of agricultural supply chains is a benefit
- Ability to operate in a multicultural environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication in at least English, German is a plus
- Diligent working style and analytical rigor
- Ability to work independently, self-motivated with demonstrated persistence in the face of organizational pushbacks
- Strong stakeholder management skills, incl. internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work with changing stakeholders in a multi-country & -cultural environment
- Empathic and patient listener, as well as convincing and motivating for collaborators
- Willingness to travel up to 1-2 times per month
Tasks
- Lead Net Zero reporting, including annual auditing and publication
- Oversee and perform annual GHG inventory and carbon footprint calculation
- Manage internal cross-functional stakeholders for seamless reporting processes
- Engage and manage stakeholders from CSD, Sourcing, and Customer Experience
- Coordinate and lead site visits with external auditors
- Resolve open issues during the audit process, escalate as needed
- Establish comprehensive documentation of GHG inventory, including emission factors and assumptions
- Develop regular Net Zero progress reports for senior leadership and functional leaders
- Lead alignment and development of data systems for Net Zero reporting
- Manage data flows within BC and from external service providers
- Define a capable data system for easy and reliable Net Zero analyses and reports
- Improve GHG inventory data management with internal and external resources
- Test and ensure system usability with internal and external users
- Work alongside Head of Net Zero on BC’s Net Zero transformation
- Translate Net Zero targets into direction, data insights, and accountabilities
- Manage internal, cross-functional stakeholder group for strategic alignment
- Support Head of Net Zero in rolling out the Net Zero commercial strategy
- Optimize tools and reports for Net Zero Chocolate Solutions
- Identify and onboard supplier carbon projects with carbon credit management
