  • Enrolled full-time student aiming for university degree in aerospace, mechanical engineering, materials sciences, or comparable
  • Independent work, high motivation for learning, personal initiative, efficient timing
  • Team spirit, cooperation, working in international company
  • Knowledge in Office software (Excel, Word)
  • Knowledge in material and manufacturing processes (welcome)
  • Skills in engineering software (CAD, FEM) (welcome)
  • Fluent English, good German knowledge (plus)
  • Awareness of compliance risks and commitment to integrity

Tasks

  • Support project development for various topics
  • Work on demisable joints for satellite structures
  • Explore coating technologies for CFRP
  • Investigate laser treatment of spacecraft parts
  • Study soldering technologies for space hardware
  • Conduct literature research on state-of-the-art and Airbus internal work
  • Define technology requirements with EO projects
  • Establish work flows, time schedules, and test programs
  • Design and prepare measurements and tests
  • Execute tests under laboratory and environmental conditions
  • Evaluate and interpret test results
  • Discuss scientific conclusions of experiments
  • Document development results
