Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Telecommunications)
- 5 years of professional experience in HW development, verification, industrialization of In-vehicle Infotainment, telematics/connectivity, or automotive ECUs
- Experience in analogue, digital, and RF design
- Expert knowledge of automotive requirements, especially EMC
- Experience with schematic/layout realization and simulation tools (e.g. Mentor Graphics, SPICE)
- Experience with Microsoft applications
- Knowledge of defect management rules and tools (ticket-based systems, such as Jira)
- Strong verbal and written English skills
- High creativity and solid analytical problem-solving capabilities
- Effective communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to articulate complex technical topics clearly
- Ability to defend engineering decisions
- Structured and target-oriented working style
- Proven ability to collaborate within cross-functional engineering teams
- Experience in analogue, digital, RF designs, especially wireless applications or telematics systems
- Experience in requirements management (e.g. DOORS, DNG, ALM) beneficial
- Willingness to travel within German & international on demand (around 10-25%)
Tasks
- Assist HW Project Leader in responsible area
- Support analysis and feasibility of customer requirements
- Perform BOM estimates and effort calculations
- Conduct cost-down measures to meet HW BOM targets
- Conceive and prepare system/HW designs and schematics
- Integrate hardware applications and functional blocks
- Consider new technologies, quality, and cost
- Follow Harman BMS and SBU Hardware Development guidelines
- Collaborate with System and SW Architecture experts
- Provide technical specifications and documentation
- Support requirement engineering and change management
- Conduct technical measurements for platform verification
- Prepare technical requirement specifications for purchased parts
- Evaluate and select suitable suppliers
- Serve as technical interface to domains and customers
- Cooperate globally with other departments and locations
