Hardware Engineer /Expert and HW Architect(m/w/x)
Hardware development for in-vehicle infotainment, audio, and telematics systems in the automotive sector. 5+ years in HW development for infotainment/telematics, with RF design knowledge, required. International team environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in HW development, verification, and industrialization of In-vehicle Infotainment systems, telematics/connectivity systems, or automotive ECUs
- Knowledge and experience in RF design and wireless technologies (mobile/network, V2X, WIFI, BT) and/or telematics features
- Knowledge of tools for schematic/layout realization and simulation (e.g. Mentor Graphics, SPICE) and Microsoft applications
- Structured and target-oriented working style in an international team environment
- Experience in requirements management (e.g. DOORS, DNG, ALM) beneficial
- Structured and result-oriented working style
- Ability to work in teams with internal/external teams
- Good knowledge in spoken and written English
- Knowledge in spoken and written German
- Experience in ASIL / ISO 26262 compliant hardware designs
- Willingness to travel within Germany & internationally on demand (around 10-25%)
Tasks
- Engineer audio systems and integrated technology platforms
- Conduct in-depth research and collaborate with design teams
- Advance in-vehicle infotainment and safety features
- Assess requirements and feasibility for telematics functions
- Define suitable concepts for connectivity systems
- Implement and verify analog, digital, and RF circuits
- Analyze and evaluate customer requirements and OEM specifications
- Prepare technical specifications and documentation for telematics products
- Assist in the selection of suppliers for telematics components
- Act as a technical interface between suppliers and customers
- Support the definition of the technology roadmap
- Introduce RF requirements for wireless technologies
- Collaborate globally with departments during the development process
