Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
- Proven experience in R&D, process engineering, IC substrate, assembly, or packaging industries
- Strong knowledge of DOE, data analysis, and quality tools (SPC, MSA, FMEA, CP)
- Hands-on experience with complex manufacturing processes and equipment
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and quality
- Fluent written and spoken English; German is an advantage
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and intercultural experience
- Willingness to work in cleanroom environments, manage high workloads, and travel internationally
Tasks
- Lead R&D process development for advanced manufacturing technologies
- Drive innovation from concept to qualification
- Collaborate with global R&D teams, production sites, and partners
- Develop processes for plating, lithography, laser drilling, assembly, plasma etching, planarization, and sputtering
- Screen, specify, install, and qualify new equipment and technologies
- Set up, optimize, and qualify processes with DOE execution and parameter definition
- Develop new manufacturing concepts with global R&D teams, plants, and partners
- Evaluate and develop new and existing suppliers and equipment manufacturers
- Drive process control, standardization, and continuous improvement
- Build advanced substrate and IC packaging manufacturing knowledge
- Provide technical solutions for structured and efficient project execution
