Design & Development Engineer – Hydraulics & Flight Control(m/w/x)
Design and development of helicopter actuation systems for a major aerospace manufacturer, ensuring airworthiness. Master's degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering and CATIA V5 proficiency required. Profit sharing.
Requirements
- Master’s degree, Diploma in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable field
- At least 5 years of engineering experience, ideally in aerospace
- Desirable experience in mechanical design and system integration
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 and experience with PLM/ERP systems
- Negotiation level English and solid command of German
- Awareness of compliance risks and commitment to integrity
Tasks
- Design and develop helicopter flight controls and hydraulics
- Ensure continuing airworthiness of actuation systems
- Manage system ownership throughout the product life cycle
- Develop system requirements and equipment specifications
- Create concept and detailed designs for components
- Apply advanced material and manufacturing knowledge to kinematics
- Provide technical guidance for hydraulic system sizing
- Conduct assembly and integration studies using CATIA V5
- Generate engineering documentation for qualification and certification
- Develop maintenance concepts and validate documentation
- Implement product improvements and manage obsolescence
- Collaborate cross-functionally with architects and flight test teams
- Manage international supplier relations for development and safety
