- Advance and represent robotics in research and teaching
- Study interplay of robotic embodiment and AI
- Initiate and conduct visionary research
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary research groups at KIT
- Collaborate with Research School connAIx
- Acquire competitive third-party funding
- Transfer research results into application
- Execute university administrative tasks
- Deliver 4-6 hours of weekly teaching
- Teach in German and English
- Utilize contemporary teaching and examination formats
- Shape the Master's program 'Robotics and Embodied AI'
- Advance digitalization in mechanical engineering
- Advance information technology in mechanical engineering
- Participate in academic self-administration
