- Conduct material tests with reducing substances
- Perform coloration and visual/microscopic inspections
- Develop new or modified functional test methods
- Describe test methods
- Qualify test methods
- Manufacture or purchase specialty equipment accessories
- Maintain and calibrate functional equipment
- Review documentation and data
