- Analyze stakeholder needs and translate them into system requirements
- Translate stakeholder needs into cross-domain system-of-systems architecture
- Design an overarching architecture with developers from different domains
- Facilitate architecture deployment along the development process
- Analyze existing systems and propose improvements
- Increase automation of emergent functionality
- Challenge and refine existing methods
- Make methods leaner and more effective
