Anforderungen
- Supply chain or commercial degree qualification or relevant working experience
- 1-2 years' experience in related field within international shipping company
- Knowledge and experience of Shipping/Energy industries and associated supply chains
- Negotiation experience on price, quality, contractual terms with suppliers/service companies
- Team orientation, good organizational and communication skills
- High numeracy, ability to work accurately and to strict deadlines
- Ability to work independently and on own initiative
- Experience with Purchasing or Supply Chain Management database software
- Fluent English
- German language skills
Aufgaben
- Work to UOS procurement procedures and systems
- Manage UOS procurement process in BASSnet system
- Achieve targeted KPI metrics
- Identify and manage potential and approved suppliers
- Issue RFQs and negotiate commercial terms
- Recommend and award purchase orders
- Negotiate optimal freight and customs clearance costs
- Maintain regular vendor communication and relationships
- Liaise with marine and quality teams for specifications
- Support internal clients with supply chain activities
- Communicate with Vessel Managers and Ship's Captains
- Expedite POs with third-party vendors
- Coordinate with Port Agents and Customs agents
- Work with third-party logistics agencies for material movements
- Arrange efficient and compliant freight forwarding
- Process third-party invoices on time
- Highlight discrepancies in procurement processes
- Identify and mitigate related risks
- Update company systems and maintain records
