- Extensive experience with cast iron parts
- Knowledge of cast iron manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of cast iron design-for-casting
- Knowledge of cast iron failure analysis
- Proven background in cylinder head systems
- Proven background in valve train systems
- Knowledge of component design for cylinder heads/valve trains
- Knowledge of tribology for cylinder heads/valve trains
- Knowledge of materials for cylinder heads/valve trains
- Solid understanding of thermo-mechanical behavior of cylinder heads
- Solid understanding of heat transfer in cylinder heads
- Excellent command of English
- Good knowledge of French or German
- Excellent command of MS Office
- Analytical thinking
- Strong leadership skills

Aufgaben
- Define technical content and timelines for new engine components
- Define technical content and timelines for existing engine component improvements
- Define technical specifications for components to be developed
- Define key operating parameters for components
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technology and specifications
- Support FMEA processes
- Update and follow up on internal engine test activities
- Update and follow up on external engine test activities
- Conduct technology surveys with suppliers
- Develop components with suppliers
- Perform tear-down activities with suppliers
- Define subsystem maintenance requirements
- Report subsystem development status to platform manager
- Define master Design and Validation Plan for the subsystem
- Prepare technical releases for components under development
