- US Citizenship
- Secret or Top Secret Clearance, or ability to obtain clearance
- Master's degree in Nutrition Science or related field
- ADA Registered Dietitian (RD) certification
- CSSD certification (waivable, earn within 6 months)
- Current, valid state certification/licensure
- Ability to receive and maintain clinical practice privileges
- Minimum 3 years demonstrable experience as Performance Dietitian with athletes (NCAA Div I, Olympic, professional, SOF Operators)
- Fluent oral and written English communication skills
- Ability to meet physical demands of SOF training (hiking, austere environments, assist S&C testing)
- Ability to lift and manipulate loads up to 25 kg
- Current BCLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Prior military and/or SOF experience
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification
- Compliance with Safety, Health, Environmental plan/policies
- Compliance with Quality Assurance plan/policies
- Regular and acceptable attendance
- Completion of all required training
- Ability to perform other assignments/duties
Aufgaben
- Provide nutritional guidance to SOF personnel for enhanced recovery.
- Provide evidence-based nutritional planning for SOF personnel.
- Provide individual and group counseling on performance nutrition.
- Document nutritional planning and counseling.
- Perform administrative duties.
- Perform clinical duties.
- Advise the chain of command on nutrition and performance nutrition issues.
- Order laboratory tests as needed.
- Design and implement SOF performance nutrition programs across all settings.
- Develop nutritional protocols and guidelines for rehabilitation and performance.
- Collaborate with HP program management to implement new protocols and guidelines.
- Advise on dining facility and galley nutrition.
- Liaise between food service and command.
- Assist regional SOF assets as required.
- Attend and participate in meetings with POTFF staff and medical personnel.
- Advise on POTFF supplementary nutrition and performance enhancers.
- Ensure availability of educational materials and sports nutrition supplies.
- Assist with supply inventories.
- Provide input on supply needs.
- Ensure equipment and facilities are safe and properly utilized.
- Ensure records are updated as required.
- Participate in periodic in-service training for HP staff.
- Attend required training and professional development courses.
- Maintain compliance with mandatory command training requirements.
- Maintain workload records.
- Participate in education programs.
- Participate in clinical staff quality assurance functions.
- Participate in peer record reviews.
- Develop and promulgate training materials.
- Perform other assigned tasks within scope.
- Document work, utilization, encounters, and referrals in military health records.
- Collect and report all required data.
- Utilize computers, software, and technologies proficiently.
