- Lead and manage a team of Cloud and Site Reliability Engineers
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members
- Hold yourself and your team accountable to high engineering standards
- Focus on system reliability, performance, and security
- Manage the team’s operational workload
- Manage on-call health and incident response
- Reduce manual toil through automation
- Foster a culture of feedback and continuous improvement
- Encourage blameless post-mortems and sharing of architectural insights
- Collaborate with other squads to ensure production platform meets developer needs
- Maintain strict governance for the production platform
- Communicate a clear vision for the squad aligned with the platform engineering roadmap
- Focus on resiliency, business continuity, and cost optimization
- Partner with the Hiring team to recruit Engineers
- Participate in improving the hiring process for the team
- Ensure recruitment meets team goals
- Lead by example in servant leadership
- Lead by example in high-stakes decision-making
