- Maintain dashboards tied to Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
- Triage high-severity alerts
- Analyze Error Budget burn rate to guide daily prioritization
- Write, review, and test code for infrastructure automation
- Automate deployment, configuration, and security hardening of infrastructure
- Treat infrastructure and security policies as software
- Identify and scope manual, repetitive tasks for automation
- Implement automated solutions for security patching and compliance checks
- Automate certificate rotations and infrastructure maintenance
- Reduce operational workload for the team
- Maintain DevSecOps security tools in CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure robust logging, metrics, and tracing systems
- Participate in on-call rotation
- Engage in post-mortem engineering solutions
- Turn incident root causes into preventative measures
- Improve runbooks into automated actions
- Reduce Mean Time To Resolution (MTTR) for incidents
