- Identify and sign up new vendors
- Create items in the catalog
- Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors
- Manage promotional activities with vendors
- Resolve operational issues with vendors
- Influence strategic vendors to prioritize customer experience
- Provide feedback on existing programs
- Initiate the creation of new programs to drive vendor participation
- Review promotion results and adjust course of action
- Negotiate new promotions
- Create strategic and prioritized vendor marketing plans
- Identify areas needing vendor attention and direct team to address issues
- Act as an escalation point to resolve conflicts
- Audit metrics regularly
- Evaluate products and services to drive customer experience quality
- Work cross-functionally to implement scalable solutions
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop annual plans for vendors or categories
- Build a network in the pet industry
- Lead cross-functional projects and involve stakeholders
- Hold team accountable for maintaining process documentation
