- Mammalian and primary cell culture
- mRNA and protein isolation, characterization and quantification
- Next-generation sequencing workflows
- Experience with liquid-handling systems and automation of cell-based assays or strong interest in developing such
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and refine assays
- Strong competence in MS Office applications and data analysis software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented research environment
- Familiarity with primary cell culture models
- Exposure to bioinformatics and coding for data processing, visualization and analysis
- Experience with specific automation platforms is a strong plus
Aufgaben
- Design, plan, and execute siRNA screening experiments
- Conduct cell-based transfection assays, qPCR, and reporter-based readouts
- Develop and optimize novel biochemical and cell-based assays
- Contribute to automated workflows using liquid-handling robotics
- Drive improvements in lab organization and workflows
- Implement new technologies and equipment in the lab
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a matrix environment
- Present data and conclusions clearly in verbal and written form
- Maintain high-quality records in electronic lab notebooks
- Analyze, interpret, and report results in a timely manner
