- Above-average university degree or PhD in physics, electrical engineering, medical engineering, or comparable scientific-technical discipline
- Several years of experience in X-ray physics, imaging, computed tomography, or comparable high-technology applications
- Solid knowledge in X-ray imaging, particularly in X-ray sources, detector technologies, reconstruction methods, radiation physics and dose assessment, simulation and digital twins
- Enjoyment of experimental work and strong hands-on mentality
- Ability to analyze complex scientific questions and translate them into technological solutions
- Strong interest in innovation, technology development, and intellectual property
- Excellent communication skills and enjoyment in working in international, interdisciplinary teams
- Very good command of English, spoken and written
- Willingness to undertake international business trips
Aufgaben
- Drive technological advancement of X-ray beamline and imaging technologies
- Evaluate and develop technologies across the entire imaging chain
- Develop simulation and digital twin models for X-ray imaging systems
- Assess and optimize X-ray imaging systems using models
- Design, plan, and conduct experiments on development systems
- Derive technological recommendations from experimental results
- Contribute scientific expertise to interdisciplinary development projects
- Advise system development, product management, and development teams
- Coordinate beamline-related technology topics with development partners
- Identify and evaluate potential new technologies for future products
- Shape patent strategy in X-ray technologies
- Contribute to technological product differentiation through invention disclosures
- Build a strong IP portfolio
- Represent area of expertise within the company
- Represent area of expertise towards international development partners
