- Design and implement control algorithms and tools for smart disassembly automation
- Develop proof-of-concepts and prototypes for experiments
- Write production quality code for the customer-facing solution
- Perform task and path planning for robots and loading stations in complex scenes
- Maintain a precise digital twin simulation
- Implement a calibration procedure to align simulation with reality
- Implement closed-loop control algorithms with the Perception team
- Work with various robots and IPCs from different brands
- Implement scalable hardware-agnostic methods
- Plan and execute implementation of feasible prototypes with guaranteed quality
- Implement tests and documentation for reproducibility and reliability
- Navigate trade-offs between technical complexity and functionality
- Collaborate closely with mechanical and electrical engineers
- Ensure seamless integration between hardware and software components
- Coordinate with suppliers and third-party collaborators
- Ensure software engineering best practices within the team
- Mentor junior team members
- Grow into a leadership position
- Perform root cause analysis and debugging when required
- Take ownership of tasks end-to-end
- Collect necessary data
- Set up hardware experiments
- Test and integrate until the finished product
