Anforderungen
- Master's degree in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biotechnology, Biology, or related field
- Relevant experience, preferably industrial drug discovery
- Expertise in mammalian cell culture, cell-based assays, molecular and cell biology techniques
- Experience in cell engineering, molecular cloning, molecular pharmacology, structural biology (advantageous)
- Experience with target biology (G protein-coupled receptors, kinases, transporters, ion channels, etc.) (advantageous)
- Solid understanding of assay robustness, data quality, screening statistics for HTS
- Strong personal responsibility and integrity
- Pronounced commitment to quality and scientific excellence
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to operate effectively in multidisciplinary teams and matrix environments
- Fluency in English, written and spoken
- German language skills (plus)
Aufgaben
- Develop target engagement assays for high-throughput screening
- Design, develop, and implement high-throughput ready assays
- Focus on in-cell target engagement for diverse target classes
- Enable hit-finding, compound optimization, and mechanism-of-action studies
- Utilize a wide range of high-throughput assay technologies
- Act as a discipline representative for High-Throughput Biology (HTB)
- Drive scientific excellence and assay innovation
- Foster strong collaboration across the Drug Discovery Sciences department
- Provide scientific and strategic guidance for project support
- Support HTB in cross-disciplinary project teams
- Contribute to scientific and technological innovation
- Serve as an expert for target engagement assays including CETSA, BITSA, BRETSA, NanoBRET TE, DSF, and related biophysical assays
- Collaborate with Therapeutic Areas, Medicinal Chemistry, Structural Research, and DMPK
- Identify key scientific needs and set priorities
- Jointly define hit-finding and early drug discovery strategies
- Mentor and develop team members
- Foster a culture of scientific rigor and collaboration
- Prioritize workloads in alignment with global HTB organization objectives
