Anforderungen
- PhD degree in Life Sciences or closely related discipline
- 0-4 years post-PhD experience
- Strong technical and theoretical background in epithelial biology
- Extensive hands-on experience with complex in vitro systems
- Experience in lung epithelial barriers or mucosal immunology
- Scientific accomplishments documented by publications in high-impact journals
- Ability to present scientific data and concepts effectively
- Fluency in English
- Excellent data management and record-keeping skills
- Ability to interact effectively with people
- Experience with lab automation
Aufgaben
- Develop advanced in vitro lung models
- Validate and apply air-liquid interface cultures
- Create organoids in co-culture with primary immune cells
- Further develop in vitro models from patient cells
- Maintain and induce disease phenotypes in models
- Automate model generation processes
- Establish quantitative in vitro assays for epithelial functions
- Evaluate immune cell functions, including mucociliary clearance
- Oversee genomic and drug screening in lung models
- Analyze data using statistical methods
- Present data in a format suitable for publication
- Collaborate with Research Associates and Scientists
