Sales Manager retail(m/w/x)
Defining national retail strategy and identifying new distribution opportunities for FMCG brands. Minimum 7 years senior FMCG retail sales experience required. Opportunity to build in a growing, international environment.
Anforderungen
- Master’s degree in economics, business or equivalent
- Minimum 7 years senior experience in FMCG retail sales/key account management
- Strong knowledge of German retail (classic, discount, drugstores)
- Comfortable dealing with numbers (internal BI-based and external data)
- Commercial understanding and comfort with calculations
- Strong negotiation skills in high-value German retail, ideally international
- Experience steering external sales partners or own sales force
- Ability to identify potentials and implement commercial/process improvements
- Fluency in German and strong command of English
- Team player, approachable, proactive, positive communicator
- Ability to persuade others of ideas
- Passion for brands and categories
- Hands-on mentality, ambition to take ownership, develop and execute ideas
- Ambitious, forward-looking, proactive idea development and execution
- Active role in identifying and shaping business potentials
Aufgaben
- Define and drive national retail strategy
- Monitor and analyze retail business
- Identify new listing and distribution opportunities
- Translate brand and category priorities into growth plans
- Use market data to identify potential and action points
- Act as strategic retail lead and sparring partner
- Lead and coach KAM team in customer negotiations
- Ensure negotiation strategies align with company objectives
- Provide senior guidance for commercial targets
- Build strong relationships with senior decision-makers
- Excel in storytelling to achieve high retail goals
- Identify structural and commercial improvement opportunities
- Implement efficient ways of working
- Drive data-based customer planning and monitoring
- Oversee external field sales agency
- Collaborate with Marketing, Category, Supply Chain, and Finance
