- Deep knowledge of breeding methodologies, agronomy, and winter wheat market/quality
- Extensive hands-on experience managing field/greenhouse trials
- Fluency in English and German (written/spoken)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with regional teams/stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in databases and MS Office for large datasets
- Structured, independent, stress-resistant work style
- Focus on precision and priority setting
Aufgaben
- Assist Wheat Breeding Lead in breeding pipeline progression
- Execute and manage breeding projects in field and greenhouse
- Conduct pre-selections and crossbreeding trials
- Manage technical organization of sowing and breeding field
- Coordinate harvest and sowing preparation
- Record and input breeding data
- Develop breeding plant material from stage to stage
- Manage breeding and material tracking tools
- Instruct and support operational team
- Train technical and seasonal staff
- Work within budget-driven framework
- Plan and allocate resources
- Maintain appropriate cost-of-good level
- Work on conventional line material
- Contribute to hybrid wheat program
- Develop wheat varieties for Continental Winter Zone EU
- Leverage internal and external R&D capabilities
- Support breeding program with technical innovations
- Secure seed pipeline for efficient development
- Transfer seeds to production, evaluation, marketing, and sales
