- Design and document system architecture for quantum computing platforms
- Manage system architecture from concept to integration and commissioning
- Break down system architecture into well-defined work packages
- Distribute work packages to relevant domain experts and teams
- Define interfaces, functions, and performance requirements for work packages
- Lead design and implementation reviews to catch integration risks early
- Maintain technical budgets to ensure system targets are met
- Identify key technical risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Drive architectural decisions for major quantum processing products
- Collaborate with internal and external experts to solve key questions
- Ensure system consistency with key requirements
- Shape systems engineering best practices and share learnings across teams
- Coordinate work across mechanics, optics, electronics, software, and quantum algorithm teams
