Anforderungen
- Willingness to complete international secondments
- Master’s degree in relevant field

- No prior PhD degree award
- Good command of scientific programming
- Experience handling large datasets (advantageous)
- Interest in NLP and machine learning
- Interest in societal consequences of disasters
- Independent and collaborative work ability
- Good command of English
Aufgaben
- Develop NLP and LLM models for impact extraction
- Extract climate impact data from multilingual literature
- Train models to quantify uncertainty in impact claims
- Produce confidence scores for risk modeling
- Identify counterfactual and attributional statements
- Derive a causal typology for climate impacts
- Analyze spatial and temporal impact patterns
- Cross-validate results with modeled and observed data
- Collaborate with the CLIMES Doctoral Network
- Present findings at conferences and in publications
