  • Knowledge of analytical and/or simulation tools for fluid flow and heat transfer
  • Experience managing CAD environments
  • Support colleagues in engineering design best practices

Aufgaben

  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for scientific instrumentation
  • Analyze mechanical performance of components and assemblies using modelling and simulation tools
  • Lead mechanical design reviews with researchers and project stakeholders
  • Coordinate manufacture of mechanical components with workshops and external suppliers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external suppliers for component procurement
  • Test completed components and assemblies for compliance with design specifications
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to integrate mechanical and electrical components
  • Deliver completed assemblies and provide technical support during testing and implementation
  • Support continuous improvement activities for scientific instrumentation
