- Hands-on experience manufacturing parts using digital manufacturing technologies
- Knowledge of analytical and/or simulation tools for fluid flow and heat transfer
- Experience managing CAD environments
- Support colleagues in engineering design best practices
Aufgaben
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for scientific instrumentation
- Analyze mechanical performance of components and assemblies using modelling and simulation tools
- Lead mechanical design reviews with researchers and project stakeholders
- Coordinate manufacture of mechanical components with workshops and external suppliers
- Develop and maintain relationships with external suppliers for component procurement
- Test completed components and assemblies for compliance with design specifications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to integrate mechanical and electrical components
- Deliver completed assemblies and provide technical support during testing and implementation
- Support continuous improvement activities for scientific instrumentation
